In-Game Visual Update

After countless hours of working behind the scenes, it has once again occurred to us that we have neglected to post about what we've been doing! Over the course of the last few updates on FreedomCraft, we have come to realize that we already have a sizable amount of content and that what we needed was polish. To that end, we have redesigned our lobby to feel more filled with life, added customized plates for ranks and titles in game, and completely overhauled the process of selecting dungeons to run!

The new lobby being filled with life is one thing, but we have also gone further with detailing the structures. A large portion of the credit goes to one of our Jr. Architects, WillOnceWas, who was responsible to redesigning the detailing on the Hellenistic temples. He is also the creator of the various trees and platforms that they are on. The statues have been reworked as well to better reflect the skill and creativity of the modern day FreedomCraft Network team! There are some easter eggs in the lobby if you know where to look, so make sure to check out every angle!

The customized plates for names and ranks utilize a gradient in order to be more vibrant and visible. This goes in line with what we have done with the lobby. All of this is to set the stage for a living and changing server, something which is responsive to the activities of the player and that tells a tale. These plates for ranks are also to be utilized in an upcoming system that we have ready on Development Servers, and as such we will proudly be able to release a new piece of content that looks beautiful and feels great to experience.

Perhaps our greatest graphical work so far, the new Dungeons Menu created by Zellnr in terms of visuals and by Smoke with configuration provides a unique experience for selecting the content that you choose to play. Each dungeon has a 3x3 item slot sized button that visually and thematically represents the build and mobs that we have made. Beyond clicking a simple NPC, player head, or a line of text, players now can have a superior visual representation of the content that they are about to run. This menu also has streamlined access to the dungeons themselves, and provides quick access to other features in the main menu. Hop on Dungeons-Survival and type /menu to give it a try!
